City Developments Limited (CDL) is set to launch a luxury freehold condominium located at Leonie Hill Road later this year. Located in the prime District 9, construction on New Futura will be complete at the end of 2017.
The 87,034 square feet of land area on which New Futura is being built was jointly bought by CDL and Israel-based American development firm El-Ad Group back in 2006 for $287.3 million in a collective sale but the latter sold its entire 50% stake to CDL.
TYPES OF UNITS AVAILABLE
While not much information has been released as yet on the selling price of the units at this 124-units project, Wong Xian Yang, at OrangeTee, estimates that the average price is most likely to start at $2,700 per square foot.
Potential buyers will have their pick of units at New Futura ranging from 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom or 4-bedroom apartments as well as 5-bedroom penthouses, with the sizes of each unit ranging from 1,098 square feet to 7,825 square feet; all units come equipped with private lift access.
PROJECTS WITHIN THE CORE CENTRAL REGION
The core central region, or CCR, encompasses districts 9,10 and 11, the downtown core planning area and Sentosa. In recent years, there has been a decrease in the number of new development projects within the CCR and the only other condominium that is expected to be launched in the CCR this year being Guocoland’s Martin Modern located along Robertson Quay.
