Banyan Tree Holdings will partner with Mandai Park Holdings to open their first resort in Singapore. The Singapore-based company has 43 resorts in 25 countries but has yet to make its foray into the local scene.
The focus of the upcoming project will be on the integration of nature and leisure, and is set to be the first ever resort to provide full-service accommodation to visitors in the eastern region of Singapore.
The resort will be comprised of low-rise buildings with 400 rooms sitting on 4.6-hectares of land. There will be a 15-metre buffer area between the resort and the nearby reservoir to retain exiting fauna and the resort building will be no taller than 21 meters to accommodate the tree canopies surrounding it.
The resort is expected to open in 2023.
