Balance Flats Exercise Attracts Over 5,000 Applicants

There was an oversubscription of over 5,000 applications received in the latest Re-offer of Balance Flats (ROF) exercise launched by the Housing and Development Board. The exercise closed on Monday (7 Aug) and there were exactly 5,587 applications submitted for the 1,394 units on offer.

2,647 of the applicants were first-timers with another 2,175 applications submitted by second-timers. The remaining applications were from singles over the age of 35 and senior citizens who have previously applied at least twice for a HDB flat.

The HDB units available in this Re-offer of Balance Flats Exercise are spread across 26 housing estates including in mature estates like Serangoon, Woodlands, Ang Mo Kio, Clementi, Bukit Batok and Bedok. Applicants can choose from 2-room flats from the Flexi Scheme for senior citizens, 3-to-5-bedroom units, “3-generation” and executive flats.
